There is nothing wrong with being ambitious

2018

If the mountains, bare without their trees or a deer hunted down as a prize, could talk to you about human ambition, they would probably say something quite different. What strange animals we are, treating the land that breathes life into us like a trophy, and seeing flesh of our fellow neighbours as a sport. But hey, taking care care of something collective, while human ego is itself so ambitious, is hard. And we are ones to know. After all, 15 artists, who haven’t previously known each other, having to build a show in a week were bound to have their fair share of ego clashes. But instead of the ego driving ambition, why don’t we make ambition drive the ego? Wouldn’t it be a rightful ambition to change this process of natural self-destruction? Wouldn’t it be a cause worth leaving our egos behind?

We decided to go to the camp of Inicjatywa dzikie Karpaty located in the socially designed Turnicki National Park, where we helped to patrol the forest. Inicjatywa dzikie Karpaty is a non-logo and non-profit movement that wants to preserve unique, natural character of the wildest areas of the Carpathian forest. Currently, intensive logging and commercial hunting take place there, which should never happen in such a priceless forest. It would long to talk about who are the people fighting for deer rut free of shots, for the virginity of the Carpathian forest. Let pictures and sounds speak for us. What you find in this room is our multimedia testimony. Stick around for a while. We invite you to see, to listen.
